TEIN Issues Communiqu=E9 at Conference

Winneba, Nov. 29, GNA – The Tertiary Education Institution Network (TEIN) of the NDC has condemned the culture of insults in politics in the=

country and admonished the NDC to uphold President Mills’ recent call to instil party discipline. The Network has also urged the party to sanction anyone who employs fowl language in any public discourse and encourage other political parti= es to do the same. These were contained in a 13-point communiqu=E9 issued at the end of=

their three day conference, under the theme “Better Ghana Agenda- Rejuvenating our structures with discipline, volunteerism for victory in 2012” at the University of Education, Winneba. The communiqu=E9 which was signed on behalf of the youth wing by the=

National Youth Organizer of the party, Mr Ludwie Hlodze, suggested that t= he revenue from the oil and gas be used to modernize agriculture, industry, and build the capacity of Ghanaians. The communiqu=E9 appealed to government to impress upon educational institutions to establish state-of-the-art training institutions to provi= de specialized knowledge and skills for the development of the oil and gas industry for the benefit of Ghanaians. The communiqu=E9 reaffirmed the support of TEIN members for the government and expressed appreciation for what it described as the impressive achievements made so far by the Mills Administration. The communiqu=E9 urged all government appointees and party officials= to emulate the character of President Mills by inculcating in themselves the=

core value of integrity, open mindedness, humility, love for humanity and=

accessibility. Over 250 members from both public and private tertiary institutions,=

ministers of state and some NDC activists attended the conference which w= as opened by the Vice President, Mr John. D. Mahama. 29 Nov. 10
