Clergyman calls on government to build village for MPs

Japekrom (B/A), Nov. 29, GNA – The Reverend Pastor Charles Arthur, District Pastor of the Japekrom branch of the Church of Pentecost, has called on the Government to build a village with Police Station to house Members of Parliament (MPs).

The clergyman in an interview with GNA, suggested that such a commun= ity should be sited at a permanent place in and around Tema or Accra, which i= s near to Parliament. Pastor Arthur said if such a facility is built, it should not be a permanent home for MPs and that they should vacate the facility after the= ir tenure of office. He said the building of the village would help reduce Government’s expenditure.
