Lance Corporal George Ananga laid to rest

Navrongo (U/E), Nov. 16, GNA – The Police Administration and the Upper East Regional Police Command have buried Lance Corporal George Ananga of the Takoradi station.

Lance Corporal Ananga was knocked down and killed by the vehicle he was trying to stop in the cause of duty.

At his burial service the Rev Father Augustine Abaasi noted that, “every soul shall test the pain of death because life is like the waves of the sea, they rise to the crest, foam for a while and go”. The Upper East Regional Minister, Mr. Mark Woyongo, appealed to police personnel to discharge their duties with a high sense of professionalism. The funeral was attended by 500 officers and men from the police service and the general public.

The Regional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police Bright Oduro laid a wreath on behalf of the Ghana Police Service while the Regional Minister laid one for the government. 16 Nov 10
