Nzema-Manle Educational Trust Fund supports four schools

Accra Nov. 10, GNA – The Nzema-Manle Educational Trust Fund has presented scholarships, assorted books and computers totalling GHC200,000 cedis to four Senior High Schools (SHS) in the Western Region. Each of the beneficiaries: Nsein SHS, Nkroful Agricultural SHS, Annor Adjaye SHS of Ezinlobo and Half Assini SHS received assorted books and four computers with accessories.

In addition, Adjaye SHS received 12 extra computers, a generator, 500 plastic chairs and 50 dustbins while Half Assini got an additional 150-seater library, a 50-seater ICT complex and 20 desktop computers. Eleven needy but brilliant students selected from the region have already benefited from the Fund for their secondary education. Lieutenant General Peter Augustine Blay, Chief of Defence Staff, (CDS) and seven others made the presentation at separate functions held in the Western Region. Presenting the various items, Lt General Blay noted that education is key to the country’s development and that is the only way to equip children to face the future.

According to him, he wanted to be a role model to the children in the community so they could aim high on the academic ladder. He said the Trust would be extending help to more deprived schools in the Nzemaland and urged the people of Nzema who are living in and outside Ghana to donate to the Fund.
