Minister of the Interior tours Northern Region

Accra, Oct. 27, GNA – Mr Martin Amidu, Minister of the Interior, has begun a three-day tour of the Northern Region, during which he would address a meeting of the Northern Regional Peace Advisory Council. The Minister would familiarise himself with the operations and challenges of agencies under his ministry, a press release signed on Wednesday by Mr Kudjo Dabri, Head of Public Affairs of the ministry, said.

It said the Minister would among other things address and interact with five main agencies at separate durbars. They are Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana Immigration Service, National Fire Service and the National Disaster Management Organisation.

Mr Amidu is expected to highlight his vision for the operational development of the various agencies. He would also tour conflict areas in the Bunkpurugu Yunyoo District. The release said the Minister would urge the communities to co-exist in peace for their rapid socio-economic development.
