Two galamsey men feared dead

Agyemandiem (B/A) Oct. 25, GNA – Two illegal small scale miners (galamsey operators) are feared to have been trapped to death inside the Krokosua forest reserve in Juabiso District of the Western Region. The bodies of the deceased are yet to be retrieved from the pit. A security source at the reserve told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) the incident was the third to happen in the area. The Krokosua forest is reserved purposely for animal husbandry but has been depleted by the activities of the illegal miners and illegal chainsaw operators. 25 Oct.10
