Gadangme Europe to meet in Belgium

The Union of Gadangme in Europe (natives from Greater Accra Region in Ghana, resident in Europe) will hold a special meeting in the Belgium city of Gent – 100 km from Brussels – on Saturday, October 23.

A statement by the Union’s P.R.O, Alex Adjei, said the meeting will start at 10a.m but delegates are expected to arrive at 8:50 a.m to go through registration formalities. The day’s agenda which will end at 4:40p.m will centre on: introduction of new member Unions, Review of the Constitution, an open Forum, By-Elections for General Secretary and Vice Secretary, an update on administration activities, future GDEu Annual meetings, GDEu audited Accounts & Banking matters, plans on special projects and fund raising.

Delegates are expected to arrive from North England, France, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Hamburg, Berlin, Barcelona and Saabrucken.

NGO’s associated with the Union, among them Bokemei Foundation in Holland and Bishop T Ga Club in England are also expected to be present. – Reggie Tagoe
