Public urged to participate in census

Takoradi, Sept 27, GNA – An engineer at the Community Water and Sanitation Agency, Western Region, Mr Bismark Siabi-Mensah on Monday called on the people to stay at home during the census period to enable them to be enumerated.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Takoradi, he said everybody should be counted to enable the government to obtain accurate data on the population for economic planning and development. Mr Siabi-Mensah said people should not be sacred in giving accurate information as all census data would be kept confidential. He said getting counted was the only means to provide the state with accurate information about the population that would ensure fair and equitable distribution of social amenities.
