AFAG questions police’s silence on Kwabena Adjei

The Pressure Group Alliance for Accountable Governance AFAG has questioned the Nima District Police Command for keeping mute over the complaint it lodged against the National Chairman of the NDC Dr. Kwabena Adjei on September 9, 2010. AFAG wants the Police to invite Dr Adjei for questioning and possibly prosecuted.

The group lodged an official complaint for the NDC Chairman’s arrest for threatening to clean the judiciary of perceived rot if the Chief Justice failed to do.

The group explained that it resorted to this because the police claimed they were unable to arrest Dr. Kwabena Adjei because a formal complaint had not been lodged. Dr. Kwabena Adjei was invited by the Police for questioning upon the complaint but has since not turned up personally and the police have not made any public comment to that effect.

AFAG says it is worried about the latest development hence its decision to write officially to the police demanding an explanation.
