Generosity should go beyond Ramadan-Muslims told

Hohoe, Sept. 10, GNA – Mr Victor-Hermann Condobrey, Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive, on Friday, said an astute Muslim should be the one whose lifestyle continued to depict spirituality beyond the period of Ramadan.

He said continuous love for one’s neighbour and generosity should therefore be an everyday activity of an astute Muslim.

Mr Condobrey said this when he paid a courtesy call on the Sarki Zongo of Hohoe, Mohammed Meiriga and his elders at Hohoe Zongo.

He appealed to the Muslim community to reflect the ideals of Prophet Mohammed in their daily endeavours and urged them to educate their children and to also, play active role in issues concerning governance.

He advised them to refrain from violent acts, adding that, the Muslim religion is a peaceful one, and called on them to pray for the 93Better Ghana” agenda to come to fruition.

Alhaji Mohammed Meiriga commended government for its kind gestures towards Zongo communities and pledged the readiness of the community to partner government for a rapid socio-economic development.
