Kumasi (Ash) August 18, GNA – A group, calling itself Movement for Economic and Political Awareness (MEPA), has sent a message of congratulation to Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo on his election as Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
His landslide victory, it said, was well fought for and well deserved and “we wish him all the best.”
This is contained in a press statement issued in Kumasi on Wednesday and signed by Mr A.W. Shareef, the Chairman, in Kumasi.
The group also praised former President J.A. Kufour, for his message to the party that had reinforced its unity.
It asked all members of the NPP to share in the glory for the success of the party’s expanded national delegates’ congress.
“The NPP has taken a great leap forward, which hopefully shall be emulated by other political groupings not only in Ghana but across Africa and beyond”, the statement added
