Ajumako adds to new schools to feeding programme

Ajumako, Aug. 17, GNA – The Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District Assembly has added two more schools in the district to the School Feeding Programme.

The who new additions are the Ajumako-Solomon D/A Primary school with 283 pupils and Breman Aharmakorambua D/A primary School with 241 pupils.

This brings to five the number of feeding schools in the district with a population of 1,590 pupils.

Mr. Peter Light Koomson, the District Chief Executive, tolf the GNA that this had been achieved through an exercise undertaken to streamline the operations of the programme by way of harmonizing the number on roll in each school.

He said it was found that the excess number of 542 could support the programme in two additional schools.

Mr Koomson appealed to the caterers to take the health needs of the pupils into consideration and provide them with quality food.
