Eleven-member development committee inaugurated at Awomberew

Gomoa Awomberew (C/R), Aug. 13, GNA – An eleven-member town Development Committee, was on Thursday inaugurated at Gomoa Awomberew to facilitate the development of the area.

The Committee headed by Mr John Kwame Quansah, would also enforce sanitation and communal labour bye-laws in the town.

Inaugurating the Committee, the Regent of the town, Nana Okokodurfo Abrow III advised members to place the rapid development of the town above their personal gains.

He urged the Committee to ensure that developmental programmes and projects are well executed to benefit the people.

Nana Abrow asked Committee members not to abuse the confidence reposed in them, adding that they should work without fear or favour to improve the living standards of the people.

The Regent said that a vast land had been earmarked for investment activities and appealed to interested investors to contact him for negotiations.

Mr Quansah the Committee Chairman, on behalf of the members assured the people of their readiness to work towards the development of the town.
