Student nurse donates items to Kwahu Government Hospital

Atibie (E/R), July 13, GNA – Moved by the plight of patients at the Kwahu Government Hospital, Atibie, a student nurse at Presbyterian University College, Asante Akyem campus undertaking his practical attachment at the hospital, has presented items worth GHC 400 to the hospital .

The items included four gallons of oil paints, two buckets of emulsion paint and three gallons of turpentine to be used to paint the female ward of the hospital. The rest of the items were two chargeable lamps, one to be sent to the Bepong clinic to be used by the midwife in charge during delivery at night when power goes off, an electric iron and ironing board for the children’s ward to be used to iron the dresses of the children on admission at the ward.

Presenting the items Mr Simons Sekyem said the donation was his contribution to the hospital where he had his practical attachment. Receiving the items the Assistant Matron of the hospital, Mrs Veronica Tsotome, thanked the student for the donation. The Health Service Administrator in-change of the hospital, Mr Emmanuel Taadi, commended the student for the items and appealed to other students to give back to society what they took from it especially their former schools. 13 July 10
