Ho, July 11, GNA – The chiefs and people of Dzolo Traditional Area

at the weekend jubilated after a Ho High Court threw out an application for a judicial review against Togbe Adetsu II, Paramount Chief of Dzolo Traditional Area.

Togbe Adetsu called for unity for rapid socio-economic development of Dzolo in the Volta Region.

The court, presided over by Justice Anthony Abada, Supervising High Court Judge, said the decision of the Judicial Committee could be challenged at a higher court of jurisdiction and not by judicial review.

Mr Oscar Vullor, Counsel for Moses Kusetor and Togbe Kekesi Ahiaku argued that the Judicial Committee is incompetent and therefore prayed the court to declare its decision null and void.

The Judicial Committee had ruled in favour of Arnold Tawiah Adekpuitor, Simon Adekpuitor and Togbe Adetsu II.

The Court awarded a cost of GH¢1,000 against the applicants.
