Awutu Bawjiase, (C/R) July 7, GNA – The Women’s Ministry of the Chur ch of Christ, Mamprobi Branch, has donated items valued at GH¢700 to the Countryside Orphanage Home at Awutu Bawjiase.
The items included bags of rice; soft drinks; cooking oil; gari; bar s of key soap; toilet soap; some bread and used clothes. Making the presentation, Mrs Vida Owusu Bempah, President of the Gro up, said the Ministry considered the plight of orphans and challenges faced b y the Management of the home in caring for them, hence the donation. They pledged their continued support to assist the kids to become useful and productive citizens in the society.
Receiving the items, Madam Emma Boafo Yeboah, founder and mother of the home, expressed appreciation to the donors and called on benevolent societies and philanthropists to assist the home since it relied on benefactors to run.
Later, the group prayed for God’s guidance for the children and the
managers of the home and appealed to other churches, civil society groups
and corporate bodies to support the children.
