Canadian Independent College holds second graduation ceremony

Accra, July 3, GNA – Mr Andrew Tokulah Stephen, President of the Canadian Independent College (CIC) on Saturday appealed to graduates of tertiary schools to attain success through hard work, determination, honesty, and humility.

He said they should circumspective about their actions as graduates since any acts of indiscretion could land them in trouble. Mr Stephen made the appeal in Accra during the second graduation of CIC, which witnessed 18 students receiving High School Diplomas after completing various courses.

He noted that the college has grown and expanded in student populat ion and could boast of State of the Art facilities. Mr Stephen said inspectors from Canada visit the college regularly t o ensure that the academic facility maintains high standards. He announced that the graduates have placements in a number of universities in Canada for the 2010 Academic Year. Madam Esther Happy Edjeani, Head of Private Schools Units, Ghana Education Service, urged the graduates to be worthy ambassadors of the college and expressed the hope that they would keep the flame of the scho ol high. She said the college has gone through rapid growth and excellence an d has managed to uphold high standards in the light of numerous challenges. Madam Edjeani commended the college for running scholarship entrance

examinations, last year in some selected regional capitals, adding that t he exercise proved successful.
