EU to finance development projects

ABIDJAN, 15 June (IRIN) – The European Union has approved about US $5.7 million for development projects in Ghana’s Upper West region, ‘The Daily Graphic’ newspaper reported on Friday. It quoted the regional minister, Sahanun Mogtari, as saying that the projects would include classroom construction, a medical clinic, water boreholes, a market and public toilets. He added that district assemblies and beneficiary communities would be involved in the planning and execution of the projects to ensure they are managed with care.
