Auditor General cautions staff against corruption

Nkawkaw June 30 GNA – Mr Richard Quartey, Acting Auditor-General, has told staff of the department never to be found implicated or caught up in any corruption scandal.

He said management would spare no time in weeding out staff whose aim was to bring the image of the organization into disrepute. Mr Quartey was speaking at a Flag Raising ceremony at Nkawkaw to officially raise the new Audit Service flag as part of their centenary celebration.

He appealed to staff to work with zeal and without fear or favour to help stump out corruption in the country.

Mr Quartey said with the introduction of the Resource Management System, the Audit Service Board and senior management would be provided with regular, accurate and reliable management information with which to take high level business decisions through a computer application that records, measures and reports on actual inputs of staff. Mr Quartey said the Service had also introduced a new Performance Management and Appraisal Framework (PMAF) that would provide a consistent framework for judgments about performance and career development and transparency in recognizing achievements. 30 June 10
