South Korea to facilitate Ghana’s development

Accra, June 25, GNA- The visiting Vice Minister at the office of th e South Korean Prime Minister, Mr Park Young June said on Friday that his country would roll out a number of development projects to support Ghana. These would include the establishment of vocational institutions, th e execution of the Wa Water Project, construction of a 400 kilometres highw ay and a sea defence project.

Speaking at a press conference in Accra, he said Korea is committing 1.5 billion dollars to provide 30,000 housing units for the Gh ana Armed Forces and Ghana Police Service as part of the 200, 000 Ghana Housi ng Project. He said the vocational institutions would emphasise on Information Technology and Engineering. Mr Alban Bagbin, Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing said

government and the opposition parties are working together to ensure that

the projects are executed judiciously.
