Communities in Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District receive free books

Ajumako Enyinasu (C/R), June 4, GNA – The Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has started distributing free exercise books to basic school children in 165 deprived communities in the district. The District Director of the GES, Mr Isaac Amonoo, said this when he distributed the exercise books to children of three schools at Solomon, Boso and Enyinasu on Wednesday.

He said the exercise books were among measures government had introduced to improve education. The District Chief Executive for the Area, Mr Peter Light Koomson, said free uniforms were almost ready for distribution to school children in the district.

The chief of Enyinasu, Nana Essiam III, expressed appreciation to the government for coming to the aid of the people with the exercise books. Nana Essiam said the people are constructing a kindergarten block and teacher’s bungalow and appealed to the assembly to assist them with cement.
