May 2,is a historical day for the people of British Ahafo which is present day Asutifi and Asunafo districts in Brong/Ahafo region of Ghana. Davidson Houston was sent by the British government to give Ahafo freedom from outside oppression. Captain Atterchi of Kukuom was declared Omanhene with the support from Lt Beditor of Mim and Lt Acquaah of Noberkaw.
