Let’s work hard to re-capture power in 2012-Narh

Kpone-Kokompe, April 26, GNA – Mr Samuel Evans Ashong Narh, Member of Parliament (MP) for Tema East, at the weekend urged members and supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to work hard to re-capture power in 2012. “In opposition, we need to plan well to match the National Democratic Congress (NDC) boot for boot and bumper for bumper.” Mr Narh made the call at a public forum, organised by the Southern Electoral Area branch of the Kpone-Katamanso Constituency of the NPP at Kokompe.

He appealed to party members to close their ranks and go into the 2012 elections with a united front to ensure victory. Mr George Noye, constituency Chairman, underscored the need to re-package the NPP into “a friendly and people-centred party, in order to attract the coastal people”.

Mr Noye gave the assurance that, with dedication, hard work and unity of purpose, the NPP, would for the first time, wrest the Kpone-Katamanso Parliamentary seat from the NDC.

Mr Henry Quartey, Deputy Greater-Accra Regional Organiser of the party, urged members at the grassroots to intensify their membership drive to attract more floating voters to register with the NPP. Mr Hopeson Adorye, Constituency Secretary, Mr Charles Dubin, Constituency Organizer and Mr Kofi Asare, Southern Belt Co-ordinator of the Party, all took turns to address the gathering, and reiterated the need for unity among members.
