Ghana’s Population to hit 24.5m in 2010 census

24.5 million people are expected to be counted in the 2010 Population and Housing Census later this year. The Ghana Statistical Service which is mandated to embark on the exercise will recruit about 50,000 field workers to execute the exercise.

The Government Statistician, Dr. Grace Bediako who disclosed this at the inauguration of the Northern Regional Census Implementation Committee, in Tamale called on all Ghanaians to ensure the success of the exercise.
