VR records 111 motor accidents first quarter this year

Ho, April 7, GNA – The Volta Regional Police Command, has recorded a total of 111 motor accidents in the first quarter of this year. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP), Mr David Ampah-Bennin, Regional Police Commander, told the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday that 139 vehicles were involved in the accidents, 12 of which were fatal claiming 13 lives. He said 155 persons got injured in those accidents. Mr Ampah-Bennin said 56 serious cases and 40 minor cases were recorded during the period but there were no incidents recorded during the Easter break. 7 April 10
