The resurrection of Christ should ignite hard work- Rev. Azare

Hohoe, April 4, GNA – Reverend Van Azare, Senior Pastor of Rhema-Way Chapel, Hohoe, said the resurrection of Christ should ignite hard work, value-addition and innovation in nation building activities. He called on Ghanaians to lay down their lives, sacrifice time and resources for the benefit of society and nation at large.

Pastor Azare, delivering a sermon on Sunday said the Easter season should be a period for stocktaking and introspection whether “we are living for Christ or mankind,” and not concentrate on merry-making alone. He called on the public to extricate themselves from wrongdoing, greed, corruptible tendencies, and validate their self-consciousness to exemplify Christ in all things.

Pastor Azare urged Christians to be guided by the love that drove Christ to die for mankind, urging leadership in all spheres to emulate that principle.

He indicated that “whosoever tries to keep his life for selfish gains would lose it, but whosoever losses his life for Christ’s sake will find it”. In a related development, Rev Emmanuel Obiri-Yeboah, District Pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Kete-Krachi said Christ’s resurrection has brought hope to the hopeless.

He therefore urged Christians to trust in the power of Christ’s resurrection that there’s hope for society and the nation in all spheres. “Christ is risen, and this has brought onto us self-consciousness, power, liberation, freedom, healing, endurance and tolerance,” he said.
