Farmer gets 20 years for defilement

Ho, March 17, GNA – Wonder Azorli, 25, a farmer has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment by a Ho Circuit Court for defiling an eight-year-old pupil at Kpetoe in the Adaklu-Anyigbe District.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Anthony Danso told the court that Azorli and the victim together with her parents live in the same area. He said whenever the parents of the victim were out of the house Azorli sneaked into their house and defiled the girl.

The prosecution said on March 6, Azorli again defiled the victim who this time reported Azorli to her stepmother. Mr Danso said the victim’s stepmother reported the matter to the police at Kpetoe leading to the arrest of Azorli. 1
