Rev. Minister cautions Christians to be wary of false prophets

Cape Coast, March 12, GNA – The Assistant Pastor of the Cape Coast branch of the Victory Bible Church International, the Rev Francis Aubyn, has cautioned Ghanaians to wary of false prophets who “have been let loose” and were duping people from all over the country. He said the prophetic ministry had been so much adulterated that most people are left more impoverished and confused.

Rev. Aubyn said this at a prophetic programme dubbed “outbreak 2010, a prophetic experience” in Cape Coast. “Beware of prophets who have coined nicknames for themselves and sell all kinds of anointing oil which they claim perform different functions and are for different purposes,” he said, adding that such prophets demand glory to themselves and not to God and also dupe unsuspecting people who patronize them.

Rev. Aubyn said some people who consulted such “prophets” had been defrauded by these “men of God” who coax them to give out properties like houses and cars with claims that they will die if they fail to offer them as sacrifices. He told the congregation that the true prophets of God do not demand money in exchange for miracles and also do not accord themselves the glory that is for God.
