Keep Fit Clubs urged to devote time for cleanups exercises

Nsawam, (E/R), March 12, GNA – The Chief of Anum Boso and President of the Greater Accra Region Keep Fit Clubs Associations, Nana Adu Mankatah II, has called on members to spend some of their times in cleanup exercises to keep their environment and communities clean.

Nana Mankatah said clean up exercise to clear choked gutters of gabbage and clearing of weeds in their communities would help prevent diseases such as malaria and diarrhoea. The President of the Association made the call when he inaugurated a nine-member executive officers of Blue Skies Company’s Keep Fit Club, a fruit processing company at Ankwah Doblo in the Akuapem South Municipality.

Nana Mankatah also advised Keep Fit Associations to form football and other sports clubs to unearth talented sportsmen and women among the members. He said there are so far about 1,364 Keep Fit Clubs in the country with the Greater Accra Region alone having 294 of such Clubs.

The nine-member executive has Mrs Perpetual Ofasi Franasco as the founder of Blue Skies Keep Fit Club, Mr Shamo Abbey, Chairman, Mr Joseph Narh Kparbitey, Vice Chairman, Miss Mary Adewumi, Secretary and Mr Samuel Gyimah, Chief Instructor.
