Nkoranza NMP Establishes 60 Acres Teak Plantation

Pinihe (B/A) The Pinihe local squad of the National Mobilization Programme in the Nkoranza District has established a 60- hectare teak plantation. This is to boost the national afforestation programme and to save the environment from destruction. The local mobilization chairman, Mr Ibrahim Sarkodie, told newsmen at Pinihe that the squad has embarked on the cultivation of cashew and planted about five hectares of the crop. He appealed to the government, the Adventist Relief Agency and other Non-Governmental Organisations to assist the farmers with implements and Wellington boots to enable them to expand the project.
