On the occasion of the 53rd Anniversary of the Independence of Ghana, the leadership and the entire membership of National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the United Kingdom and Ireland wish to extend our warm thoughts and felicitations to all Ghanaians in our beloved country and in the Diaspora. The NDC UK & Ireland Chapter wish to express that as we mark this great Event of our nationhood, we also recognise with much appreciation the contributions made by our forbearers who laid down their lives and through whose toil gained us freedom from oppression.
During the celebration of this momentous occasion, we ask all Ghanaians to endeavour to reflect on the ideals of our independence from colonial oppression; and also to reflect on how far we have come as people within a nation and within the global community of nations.
It is time we dedicate ourselves to the ideals of our forbearers and aspire to make Ghana a better place for all – One Nation, One People, One Destiny. God bless our Homeland- Ghana
