GHC 8,000 bail for four sureties

Kade, Feb. 26, GNA – Four persons who stood sureties for a woman suspected to have defrauded someone by false pretences were on Friday granted GHC 8,000 bail with two sureties each by the Kade District Magistrate Court. They are Ernestina Ntiamoah, Adu Kwasi, Komfo Kejebu and William Asamoah. They will re-appear in court on March 16.

A fifth surety, Samuel Mensah, served on February 17 to appear in court had refused to do so and a bench warrant has been issued for his arrest. On January 06 Florence Ammo, the accused, was taken into police custody for the offence of defrauding by false pretences. She was granted bail in the sum of GHC 6,000 and the five persons stood surety for her.

But since then all efforts made by them to get her to appear in court had proved futile.
