Rawlings consoles da Rocha’s family

Accra, Feb. 24, GNA – Former President Jerry John Rawlings on Tuesday consoled the family of the late B. J. da Rocha following the passing away of the NPP stalwart. In his condolence message former President Rawlings noted that though Mr. da Rocha was on the opposite side of the political divide his death could be counted as a loss to Ghana. “Mr. da Rocha was not just a pillar of the NPP; he was also a distinguished lawyer and outspoken critic of the wrongs in society. He did not hesitate to criticise his own party when necessary,” the former President said. The former President said his thoughts and prayers were with the family, friends and the NPP who have lost a father, friend and colleague.
