UK-based NGO donates to Goaso hospital

Goaso (B/A), Jan. 26, GNA – Philiand Trust, a United Kingdom (UK) based Non-Governmental Organisation has donated medical equipment worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to the Government Hospital in Goaso.
The equipment, which included wheel chairs, gloves, needles and syringes, skeletal images, as well as football and boots, was provided through the efforts of Nana Afe Yimaye Odum, a citizen of Goaso residing in the UK.
Making the presentation on behalf of the NGO at Goaso, Nana Odum pledged the organization’s unflinching support to efforts being made to help improve the health of the people.
He urged management of the hospital to utilise the donated items to the benefit of the people of the area. Nana Kwasi Bosomprah, Omanhene of Goaso, who received the items on behalf of the hospital, thanked the donors for the gesture, noting the items would help enhance health care delivery in the area. He appealed to other citizens abroad to emulate Nana Odum’s gesture. 26 Jan 10
