Accidents claim lives in Central Region

Cape Coast, Jan. 20, GNA – The Central Regional Commander of the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit, Deputy Superintendent of Police Paul Aduhene, has said three people were killed through motor accident between Christmas eve and Boxing Day last year.

He said seven accidents involving 10 vehicles were recorded during that period of which 25 people sustained injuries. Mr Aduhene told the GNA in an interview with the GNA on Monday that no accident cases were recorded between December 31 last year and January 1.

He said of the 918 accidents that occurred in the region last year, a total of 193 people were killed while 928 were injured.
