Accra, Jan. 11, GNA – Ministers of the Gospel have been urged to intensify their messages on salvation and morality to the people, particularly their congregations, in the wake of increased immorality in the society.
The Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North, Mr Justice Joe Appiah, who made the call on Sunday at an ordination service at the Gospel Faith Ministries in Accra, said it was about time pastors refrained from preach= ing on worldly gains and giving false prophesies on the airwaves. He said messages of men of God should rather transform and prepare people for the kingdom of God.
The service was held to ordain The Reverend Isaac Obed Asamoah into the priesthood. Three others, Mr Emmanuel Adusei, Mr Kwame Sam and Mr Patrick=
Otopah were consecrated as deacons of the church. Mr Appiah advised The Rev Asamoah, whom he described as a personal friend and assistant for the past 14 years, to move forward and continue with the good work “to win more souls for Jesus”. “I want to challenge you, Rev Isaac Obed Asamoah, to preach the word= , whether in season or out of season and I know the Good Lord who called yo= u into His vineyard will never leave you or forsake you.” The Reverend Samuel Botwey, Pastor in-charge of the Solid Rock Chape= l International, Banana-In Branch, in a sermon urged anyone who desired to work as a minister of God to wait to be called by God into the priesthood=
“instead of calling himself into priesthood”.
He explained that when God really called someone into the priesthood= , He gave that person a word or a message to tell; and that person is able to make a positive impact on society.
Apostle Peter Kenneth Saah, Head Pastor, Gospel Faith Ministries, wh= o performed the ordination ceremony, ordained Rev Asamoah as the resident pastor of the Church, and charged him to live above reproach and to “know=
