Mampong (Ash), Jan. 6, GNA – Two persons are being held by the Asante-Mampong Police for allegedly defiling a 15-year girl in a hotel. Sylvester Abiwu, 17, a resident of Dansoman in Accra and Dauda Ahme= d, 20, were arrested on January 2, 2010. Police Chief Superintendent Edward Oduro Kwarteng, the Divisional Commander, told the Ghana News Agency that Abiwu was in Asante-Mampong to=
spend the New Year. He said with the help of Ahmed, Abiwu lured the victim to a hotel where they sedated her with a drink. Abiwu took advantage and sexually assaulted her for three days. She=
was rescued by the police following a tip off. Chief Superintendent Kwarteng said the suspects would be prosecuted= as soon as investigations were completed.
