Zongo and local people in Agona Swedru should live in peace

Agona Swedru, Jan 02, GNA- Reverend Emmanuel Kaatey, Pastor in-charge of Number two branch of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) of Agona Swedru, has appealed to the local Zongo Community and indigenes to bury their differences to ensure peace and stability in town.

He said the conflict which erupted between the two groups must be put to rest so that

resources being spent on security and conflict management would be channeled in the

development of the Municipality.

Rev. Kaatey made the appeal when he delivered a sermon at a watch night Church service

to usher-in New Year at Swedru. He said where war and conflict exist, people suffer as development stalls. Rev Kaatey asked Agonas and Zongo Community in the Agona Swedru Municipality to

rob their congregation of their money and valuable properties to stop the practice. Rev. Acquah called on the youth to respect the elderly and desist from violent means of

resolving issues but rather use dialogue to resolve their difference to ensure peace and

understanding to the country.

Ghanaians to support the government in its efforts at building a better country and stop “pull
