Agona West NDC elects executives

Agona Nyakrom (C/R) Jan. 2, GNA – Agona West branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Thursday elected new executives at its Women and Youth wings conference at Agona Nyakrom.

Mrs Evelyn Adu, a businesswoman, was elected Women’s Organiser in the polls that was organised by the Central Region Executives of the NDC. She had 69 votes out of the total 103 votes cast to defeat Mrs Rosemond Dadzie, who obtained 34 votes while Madam Fati Suley had 61 votes to defeat Madam Hajia Saratu, who obtained 42 votes, for the Deputy Women Organiser position.

Mr Eric Apoh was declared unopposed as Youth Organiser while Mr Elvis Amankwa was elected Deputy Youth Organiser. Mr Patrick Anie Adjei, Central Region Organizer of the party, who swore the new executives into office, encouraged them to work hard to enable NDC to retain power 2012.

Mr Samuel Adu-Yaboah, Central Region Chairman of NDC, appealed to party members to unite and work hard to win more supporters for the party. He appealed to the new executives to use their rich experiences to unite members of the party to make it a formidable force in Ghanaian politics.
