Omanhene urges Ghanaians to eschew negative tendencies

Cape Coast, Dec. 31, GNA – The Omanhene of Oguaa Traditional area, Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, on Thursday said as Ghanaians bid 2009 farewell they should eschew all negative tendencies and strive hard to make Ghana a better place in the New Year.

He appealed to all Ghanaians in a New Year message to work harder in=

the New Year and do away with laziness, do what is right, live honest liv= es and above all be law abiding and God fearing.

Osabarima Atta said Ghana would be a haven for all if people uphold their civic rights and responsibilities.

To the residents of Cape Coast the Omanhen asked them to support the metropolis economically, socially and educationally to help improve upon its status.

He also called on those living outside Cape Coast to pool their resources for the development of the area and urged to them to help marke= t the metropolis to foreign investors. Osabarima Atta expressed the hope that Ghanaians, especially resident= s of Cape Coast, would help sustain the current peaceful atmosphere that is=

prevailing in the country.
