Association wishes workers well.

Accra, Dec. 24, GNA – The Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana, on Thursday commended members for their hard work this year and wished them well during the yuletide.

In a Christmas message, sent through the Ghana News Agency, Mr James Ekow Amissah, Acting Executive Secretary of the Association urged members to use the yuletide to re-examine their strength and weaknesses and resolve to increase productivity next year.

He said the year 2010 may bring challenges but that should not dampen their spirit, but rather summon courage to surmount them.

The year has seen the implementation of the Single Spine and the new Pension Scheme and these may have challenges, however the Association would be ready to explain issues arising from the their implementation, he added. Mr Amissah said the Association would vigorously pursue educational programmes next year, to enhance productivity, saying that, “all must participate to broaden their knowledge”.
