NPP would win in 2012 Election-Jake

Bolgatanga, Dec 19, GNA- Mr. Jake Obetchebi Lamptey, one of aspiring candidates for the National Chairmanship of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed optimism that the party would bounce back to power in 2012. He noted that Ghanaians had understudied the NDC Government in power for the past one year and have seen that their poor conditions cannot be improved hence were becoming disillusioned and pessimistic.
Mr. Obetchebi had met Party delegates to announce his intentions to contest for the National Chairmanship of the NPP and to also seek their mandate for the position.
He stated that under the NPP Government, the economic conditions of Ghanaians were not bad as compared to now and Ghanaians had seen it and would vote the NPP out of power come 2012.
“We have learnt a lesson from what happened at the past and would not repeat our mistakes again”, he stated.
The Aspirant said he was endowed with a lot of vast experience that could turn the fortune of the party around to enable it capture the 2012 election.
He said he had 30 years experience in marketing and communication and a proven communicator who can mix freely with Ghanaians of all ethnic and social backgrounds.
He noted that he had worked as Chief Executive Officer of large companies and had the ability to manage power and also as a founding member of the NPP, designed the flag and symbol of the Party. Mr. Obetchebi said he had been the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the Party for three terms and that he had on two occasions been the National Campaign Manager among others.
He called on the delegates to give him the nod to enable the party win and retain power, saying: ” I would work tirelessly to unify our party and the National and Constituency level and also train the party people, resource them, motivate them to deliver victory to NPP in 2012.
