Campaign promises not mere rhetoric

Kpetoe (V/R), Dec 1, GNA – The Adaklu-Anyigbe District Assembly has presented three digital cameras to the District Directorate of Education, to be used in taking passport pictures of Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) students.

The Kpetoe, Adaklu and Ziope Traditional Areas, which make up the district, would receive a camera each.

The District Chief Executive Mr. Michael Komla Adjaho said the Assembly took the initiative to make it easier and less expensive for BECE candidates in the district, especially those from villages that have to travel to urban centres to have their pictures taken during registration for their BECE.

He appealed to those who would be handling the cameras to take good care of them.

Mr. Adjaho appealed to teachers and students in the district to endeavour to improve upon the BECE results and assured them of the Assembly’s support to their efforts. Mr. Samuel Tumaku, Adaklu Anyigbe District Director of Education said the initiative was timely.
