The Apostolic Church-Ghana holds forum

Accra, Nov. 9, GNA – Mrs Irene Kurankyi, 2009 National Best Teacher, has urged the youth to adopt the teaching profession to make a meaningful leaving out of it. She said there were numerous opportunities in the teaching field and urged the youth to offer themselves to it.

“By so doing, you will not only gain financially but contribute to the human resource development of the country,” she said.

Mrs Kurankyi made the call at a Students’ forum which was organized by the Nii Boiman District of the Apostolic Church-Ghana on Sunday.

She said one of the benefits for teachers was “to go on leave” whenever school was on vacation.

“You can use the period to do some business or better your grades,” she said adding;

“No worker would have the opportunity of going on leave three times a year”. Mrs Kurankyi, also the Managing Director of Recafs Cat erring Services, commended the government for improving the working conditions of workers in the country. The Reverend Christopher Affum-Nyarko, District Pastor of the Church, advised teachers and workers in general to put in their maximum efforts to enable them to win awards. Apostle Oware Boateng, Area Superintendent of the Nii Boiman and Adabraka districts of the church, praised Mrs Kurankyi for winning the award and urged her to keep up the hard work. He presented a special prize to the National Best Teacher on behalf of the church.
