Ejaaku Donkoh aspires for the NPP Youth Organizer Position

Saltpond (C/R) Oct.20, GNA – Mr Francis Ejaaku-Donkoh, Executive Director, FED Kastle Group of Companies in Saltpond, has declared his intention to contest the post of Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Central Region.

Declaring his intention at Saltpond, on Sunday, Mr Donkoh, who is also the Mfantseman Municipal Assembly Member for Nkubem Electoral Area at Saltpond, said he was contesting the position because the party needed committed and dedicated people now than ever before to champion its cause to victory in the 2012 general elections. He said his long association with the youth was an asset which he could use to mobilize them for the party.

The aspiring youth organizer cautioned the party against regarding the 2012 general elections as ‘a done deal’ for the party. “It is not going to be as easy as we might regard it,” he said and added that only hard and dedicated work could bring the party back to power. Mr Donkoh urged members and supporters to ensure that they elected people who could do the work faithfully but not those who would use the positions to amass wealth.

He said complacency which played a major role in the defeat of the party in 2008 must this time round be discarded and every vote must be taken as important as that of the National Chairman of the party. He gave the assurance that he would do his best to motivate the party’s foot soldiers, when elected to the position, to enable them to sacrifice their time and energies for the party. The party’s election for internal positions is scheduled for December this year. 20 Oct. 09
