Aglow International Fellowship Ghana Celebrates 15th Anniversary

Accra, Sept. 29, GNA – Mrs Gifty Afenyi-Dadzie, Prayer Director of Aglow International Fellowship Ghana, at the weekend urged women to resist the temptation of focussing on things likely to impede their welfare, stand firm against vices and to die championing the truth. She said women play a key role in the expansion of religious organisation, and urged them to come together and pray to God to intervene in the nation’s affairs.

Mrs Afenyi-Dadzie who was speaking at the 15th anniversary celebration of the Church, said despite the challenges women face, they should be committed to the preaching of the gospel and emulate Jesus Christ.

She told the women to let their beliefs reflect in their daily lives in order to help reduce the upsurge of social vices and gradually gain root in the country.

She said 15 years of existence was a long way, and that it was an opportunity for members of the Fellowship to turn away from leading unworthy lifestyles and accept Jesus Christ, as something good would certainly come out of it. Mr. Clara Owusu, President of the Makola Chapter of Aglow International, said detaining market women after a hard day’s work to spend time with God was not an easy task, but “as leaders we have to empower them to stand firm on their feet so that they can contribute to national development.”

She urged the women not to relent in their devotion to God’s work but rather develop love and compassion for Jesus Christ in order to live as true Christians.

Mrs. Eveline Amponsah, National Vice President of Aglow International, Ghana, called on Christians to cherish the truth, love and hard work, and also to realise the sacrifice of Jesus and make his teachings reflect in their lives.
