Three arrested with cocaine at KIA

Accra, Sept. 10, GNA – Three people were arrested at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) on Wednesday for possessing heroin. The suspects, a male and two females, had attempted to smuggle the substance onto a Delta Airline flight when they were arrested by officials of the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB).

The suspects, Abena Serwah, 19, Joanne Gabrielle, 21, and Shadrac Bamfo, 23, all had American passports, security officials said. They had concealed the substance in their shoes as well as their private parts.

The arrest comes a day after Mr Sima Ibrahim, Chief Executive Officer of EXOPA Modelling Agency, was also arrested at the KIA for attempting to board a Lufthansa flight with five kilograms of cocaine. 10 Sept. 09
