Distraught Wife Murders Husband

Kpando, Sept 9, GNA – Sixty-four-year old Agatha Loglo, who allegedly murdered her 67-year-old husband, has been put before a Kpando circuit court on a provisional charge of murder. Her plea was not taken, and was remanded to reappear on September 22.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Wonder Dogbevia, Kpando Crime Officer, said Agatha inflicted cutlass wounds on Linus Gletsu with whom she had 10 children and set ablaze the unconscious body of the man to whom she was married for 40 years.

He said the incident happened in the couple’s bedroom in the early hours of Sunday when a misunderstanding arose between them at Sovie-Avenu in the Kpando District.

Mr Dogbevia said the grandchildren living with the deceased informed their father, Hayford Gletsu, about the incident. He took his father to Kpando Marquart Hospital and was referred to the Volta Regional Hospital, at Ho, but he died on the way to the regional hospital. 09 Sept 09
