Unemployed man remanded for defiling two girls

Juaben (Ash), Sept. 2, GNA – A circuit court at Juaben, on Wednesday remanded into Police custody a 17-year-old unemployed man for defiling two young girls at Fumesua near Kumasi. Frank Yeboah, who pleaded not guilty, would re-appear at court on Thursday, September 10.

Police Chief Inspector Charlotte Arkoh told the court presided over by Mr. Agyei-Frimpong that the accused lived with the victims aged 11 and 13 years, at Fumesua near Kumasi. Prosecution said on 19th August, this year, the first victim was sent by her grandmother to collect money from a relative. She said whilst returning to the house, Yeboah dragged her to his house, and sexually abused her.

Chief Insp Arkoh said the victim reported the matter the grandmother. Prosecution said after three day, Yeboah baited the second girl, who had been sent to fetch water that she could get water from his house and defiled her.

Chief Insp Arkoh said the girl reported the matter to her parents adding that medical reports confirmed that the two girls had been defiled. The police upon a tip-off arrested Yeboah at of his hideout at Fumesua. 2 Sept 09
