P.C. Ofori honoured by Nigeria-based organisation

The Member of Parliament for Asikuma-Odoben-Abrakwa in the Central Region, Hon. Paul Collins Appiah-Ofori has received an honorary award by an international anti-Corruption, Human rights organization based in Nigeria, the United Action Against Corruption and Injustice (UAACAI) International.

Gold Medal Merit Award for incorruptible icons in Africa 2009, was handed to him by the Chairman of UAACAI, Mr. Lawrence Egbomuche-Okeke Esq., on Friday, in Accra.

The Chairman noted that the award was given to him after the Committee cast its net throughout the whole of Africa, and became satisfied that Hon Appiah-Ofori stands out in the fight against corruption.

Other Award winners included President John Atta Mills and the Commissioner for the Electoral Commission, Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan, for Ghana’s successful organisation of the last general elections.
